Newsletter No. 15

Spencer Park Education Support Centre has this week received a new school banner. Thank you to our ever‑creative crafter Jo Kellett for making our banner.

This term we have lots happening, beginning with In‑Term Swimming Lessons. Please ensure you have your forms returned to school as soon as possible. On Wednesday, 24 October Room 22 will be hosting a fundraiser for ‘The Kids with Cancer Project’ selling cupcakes to SPESC and SPPS students and staff at recess. Also on Wednesday, Room 14 will be hosting a Sausage Sizzle to raise money for our school’s combined P&C.

Along with Salon Express and Spencer Park IGA, SPESC will also be hosting another Halloween Disco on Sunday, 28 October from 4:00pm to 5:30pm in the undercover area of the Primary School.  Notes will be coming home this week.

The students have been very busy getting creative to produce art works to display in the School Art Exhibition alongside the SPPS students which opens on the evening of Wednesday, 24 October at the WA Museum. Students will be going to view the art on the Wednesday, 7 November. Our school will also be joining SPPS on Thursday, 25 October for the Athletics Carnival.

PBS News:

At our Week 1 PBS Bee Assembly we celebrated the students’ success in achieving our Bee point count of 2500 points, earning a whole school pizza lunch reward on Friday.  We have a new target this Term to reach another 3000 points.
